According to an NHTSA filing, Waymo's fifth-gen ADS fails to identify closed construction zones. A software fix is in the works, but freeway services will remain suspended until it's deployed.

Waymo has recalled nearly 3,900 robotaxis in the U.S., almost its entire national fleet, because of a software issue that led its vehicles to enter closed freeway construction zones.
