American flags are flying at half-staff today, Friday, May 15, across New Jersey and the United States in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day, which commemorates law enforcement officers killed or injured in the line of duty.

Fort Collins will host special Memorial Day weekend events that will also mark the nation's 250th anniverary and Colorado's 150th anniversary. The annual Field of Honor will display 500 American flags, along with historical U.S. and Colorado state flags.
